Another essential item to keep a baby amused is the playmat. The one we used was the Tiny Love Gymini Super Deluxe playmat. Really nice playmat. There is a nice sized mirror for the baby to look into. Several different toys and rings hang down for the baby to swat at or grasp. The toys all have different features, textures and shapes, which stimulate the babies senses. The elephant is my favorite. You pull the tail and the elephant vibrates. The other animals are a bird, giraffe, and monkey. They are nice plush toys.
The playmat also plays music, either nursery songs or 10 continuous minutes of Mozart. As the music plays, lights flash.
